Common questions
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes — cancel any time from the "Manage Billing" portal. You keep access until the end of your billing period. No partial-period refunds are issued on cancellation.
Do subscriptions auto-renew?
Yes. Subscriptions renew automatically on your monthly anniversary date. You'll receive a reminder email before renewal. Cancel any time before the renewal date to avoid being charged.
What is the refund policy?
Cancel within 48 hours of your first payment and contact us for a full refund if you haven't used premium features. EU customers have a 14-day cooling-off right — once the service has started (you've used it), the right is waived. Analysis credits that have been consumed are non-refundable; unused credits may be refunded within 14 days. See our Subscription Terms for full details.
Is VAT included in the price?
Prices shown exclude VAT. VAT is calculated at checkout based on your billing country and added to the total. EU business customers can enter a VAT number to apply reverse-charge. Full invoices with VAT breakdown are available in Billing History above.
What payment methods are accepted?
All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and SEPA bank transfers where available. Strong Customer Authentication (3D Secure) may be required for EU/UK cards.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
All your games, puzzles, ratings, and achievements are kept forever. You simply lose access to premium features going forward.
Is there a free trial?
ChessFlow is free to use with no credit card required. If a trial is active, it will be shown at checkout.
Do you offer student or team discounts?
Yes — email us with proof of enrollment for a 50% student discount, or contact us for team pricing (5+ members).
